Dead or Alive and Kicking
Tecmo shows DOA games and much more
It should come as no surprise to anyone that Tecmo's booth will feature the engaging pixels of Dead or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball, or that Dead or Alive: Code Chronus for Xbox is set for release this fall.
Among the PS2 sequels on Tecmo's plate is Monster Rancher 4, in which gamers can breed, train, and pit digital pet monsters against one another. This latest incarnation of Monster Rancher takes the game beyond creature raising, allowing fully trained monsters to set off with their owners on a role-playing adventure. Like earlier Monster Rancher games, MR4 will include a CD/DVD swapping feature that lets gamers unlock new monsters.
Another PS2 sequel, Fatal Frame 2, picks up right where its survival-horror predecessor left off. Filled with unsettling atmospheres and unique camera angles, this game is sure to give gamers some heebies as well as jeebies.
