Inside E3

Welcome to E3 Insider 2016!

A video game extravaganza. A spectacle. A rallying cry for passionate gamers. However you like to think of it, E3 is the video game industry’s most important and anticipated event of the year. On June 14, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) kicks off this year’s E3 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, which will once again be home to the year’s biggest video game announcements.

Whether you’re at the show, or following along at home, E3 Insider is here to serve as your official tour guide, every step of the way.

This year, we’re daring to try some different things here on E3 Insider. Only here, we’ll give you some exclusive behind-the-scenes peeks at what goes into making E3 the can’t-miss event that it is. And that’s in addition to all our videos, game trailers, show news, screenshots, press conferences, live streaming, photos and more!

Before E3 proper – on Sunday, June 12, to be exact – media briefings from Electronic Arts and Bethesda Softworks launch the game news frenzy at E3. The fun continues on Monday, June 13, with additional press conferences from Microsoft Corporation, Ubisoft Entertainment, Sony Interactive Entertainment America, and Nintendo of America Inc. – and you’ll be able to catch them all streamed live, right here on E3 Insider.

While we gear up to show you the really good stuff (which is all under lock-and-key until E3 officially kicks off on June 14), we hope you’ll enjoy some of the interesting videos that we’ve been able to share so far, such as ESA CEO Mike Gallagher’s speech at the recent D.I.C.E. Summit, a look at how the Extra Life charity empowers gamers to help sick children, a rundown on some of the best games from the past year, and an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how the Los Angeles Convention Center is transformed into E3 (which you can watch right below).

We’re also very excited about E3 Live 2016 – the ESA’s all-new event for gamers, which runs concurrently with E3 itself. Those of you who are attending are in for something very special – and even if you didn’t get a ticket to E3 Live (they sold out fast!), you still have a chance to attend the Pokémon Symphonic Evolutions live concert, with tickets on-sale now.

It’s a big year for E3, and we’re proud to be a part of it. We hope that you’ll make E3 Insider your first stop for E3 news, media, and events this year, and we hope to surprise you with exclusives that you won’t find anywhere else. Keep checking back for more, and definitely park yourself on E3 Insider starting at 1:00 PM PDT on Sunday, June 12, when Electronic Arts’ live press conference kicks off. We certainly wouldn’t miss it for the world, and we hope you’ll join us!
