Fantasy Mixes with Action

Fantasy worlds come to life in action games that allow players to embark on quests for riches and glory, and often to save their people from a greater evil.
Microsoft Game Studios’ collaboration with developers Q Entertainment and Phantagram has brought the epic action adventure Ninety-Nine Nights to Xbox 360. The story takes place during a struggle between light and dark, where a new world order has been established after the destruction of the mysterious power stone.
Fantasy goes portable with 2K Games’ and Gas Powered Games’ Dungeon Siege: Throne of Agony, an original adventure that introduces four new characters in a nonlinear, single-player campaign. The game also supports ad hoc cooperative and competitive multiplayer games.
From portable quests to first-person fantasy action, Ubisoft, Arkane Studios, and Kuju games bring Might & Magic: Dark Messiah to PCs. Players step into the boots of Sareth, a magician trained to fight the prophecy of the Dark Messiah. Players will explore a secluded region of Ashan populated with orcs, goblins, trolls, and dragons.
Another venerable fantasy franchise returns with a new chapter when Link makes his second showing at E3 with Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for GameCube. The newest feature on display is the incorporation of Revolution’s one-hand controller technology. Gamers will also be able to take Link on the road with Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, a new top-down adventure game that features cel-shaded graphics.
