God of War 2 - Worth the Wait

Since I want to make sure I get a chance to see every exhibitor and every booth, I try not to stand in long lines. Every time I walked by the God of War kiosks, they were mobbed. The trailer was showing on the enormous screen in the Sony booth, but that wasn't good enough. I had to play the game. I had to wield the Blades of Chaos again. I needed walk into a room full of undead soldiers and look forward to the ensuing melee. I needed to see if there were any significant changes to the game that I obsessed over last year (and by obsessed I mean "smashed a dual shock controller into pieces trying to escape Hades in God Mode").
My favorite thing about God of War 2? It plays exactly the same as the first one. Kratos looks the same, the blades work the same way, enemies get obliterated the same way. Since I had to wait in a line of people playing until they got tired of it, I picked up at a random point in the game. I didn't get a chance to see the intro, not sure if any significant events happened prior to the point I was at. I know I had a bow and arrow, which was new, but I only needed to use it once while I was playing. I'm assuming that unlike the Blade or Artemis, which I never really used in the first one, the bow and arrow are more necessary in this game. I'm also assuming that they have a much cooler name than "bow and arrow" but I didn't have an instruction manual in front of me to flip through.
God of War 2 will be released exclusively for the Playstation 2, which has made some people upset since it will likely come out after PS3. However, I was not at all disappointed by the graphics, and will be perfectly content playing this PS2 game on my PS3 when the time comes.
